About Therapy Together

I offer weekly 50 minute sessions in person, in Islington near Kings Cross, and Hackney, London or online. I currently have availability and am taking on new clients.

My Approach
Person-Centred therapy is, at its heart, a radical departure from the mainstream. In a culture crowded with ‘experts’ offering techniques, solutions and diagnoses, it’s easy to be told what is supposedly wrong with you and how you should fix it. Person-Centred psychotherapy takes a different stance. Rather than applying theories or assumptions to your experience, I am committed to understanding how it is to be you.
I believe that every person has an innate capacity to know what is right for them. Often, this inner knowing has been silenced, overridden, or dismissed by the environments we live in. Working in a person-centred way means creating the conditions for this to re-emerge and strength. I offer a space separate from your day-to-day life, where hopefully you can explore freely without pressure and expectation.
This is fundamentally different from many traditional models of therapy or treatment, where the practitioner leads and the client follows. My role is not to direct you, diagnose you, or decide where you should go. You set the pace. When something feels too much, we won’t push into it. If you want a gentle nudge, you can ask for it. But your process leads, always. I will be alongside you, with you, attentive, non-judgemental, and deeply curious about your lived experience.
The relationship we build is also central to therapy. Many of our wounds are relational, and it can be profoundly healing to experience a genuine, equal, human relationship, one where you are met, heard, and understood exactly as you are.
Ultimately, my hope is that through our work together, you feel deeply seen and supported as you explore whatever has brought you to therapy, and that we discover, together, the meanings and possibilities within your experience.
Who I work with
I work with individuals over the age of eighteen. Beyond this, I don’t set limits on who I will work with. What matters most is that I feel like the right therapist for you.
That said, here are some of the topics and difficulties I have supported clients with previously:
anxiety, bereavement, receiving a diagnosis, break-ups, relationship difficulties, exploring new relationship styles, neurodivergence, privilege and oppression, sexual assault, gender identity, medical transition, ex-boarders, addiction (your own or a family member’s), depression, sexuality, kink, racial identity, and family relationships.
This is not an exhaustive list, it’s simply to give you a sense of the areas I have experience with. If you don’t see your struggle or identity here, you’re still very welcome to get in touch.
I have extensive experience working with queer, trans, non-binary, and non-monogamous clients. For some people, it is important to have a therapist who shares similar identities or understands their communities, and I honour that.
I have previously volunteered with Spectra, a free counselling service for trans and non-binary people, and with the City and East London Bereavement Service, supporting people who have experienced loss. Over the years I have worked with a wide range of clients, each bringing their own unique experiences, identities, and challenges.

Weekly Sessions

After a free introductory session, all sessions will be charged at the same price.

The solidarity rate is for those who can afford to pay more to support the low cost work.

Currently all low cost slots are filled. An alternative to low cost work if you can not afford ongoing/long-term therapy sessions at my standard rate is working short term. Consider how much you can afford to spend on therapy and we can work out how many sessions. I have lots of experience working on short term basis in charity settings and have found it to be effective.

Next step

Send me a message letting me know you are looking for therapy. Feel free to include a little but about yourself and/or what you are looking to explore in therapy.

Then we can arrange a free 30 minute introductory session (either in person or online). This is a chance for us to get a feel for what it might feel like to work together. We can talk about what brings you to therapy, your expectations, any previous experiences of therapy and anything else you want to share with me. There will be space for you to can ask me questions and I can explain a little more about my approach if you want to know.

If you are interested in working together or finding out more, please send me a message using the contact button below.
